Natalie Portman to unwanted baby hub reactions at Oscars 2011

Natalie Portman Admittedly, it was “difficult” because of the prize season while she was pregnant in 2011 and that year reminded herself a specific experience of the Oscars.
“I couldn’t drink at all during all those events, which was difficult,” said Portman, 43, during Tuesday 20 May, episode of the “Daitrose dish” Podcast. “It’s a lot of stress. It is a lot of attention … And I was sober while everyone else were not.”
Portman said she was ‘so great’ because of her pregnancy, which led to unwanted remarks.
“Everyone said,” Oh, you’re going to pop. “I had something like:” I am four months pregnant. ” Everyone said: ‘You have to give birth tomorrow. “I had something like that:” I still have five months to go. “”
Portman joked that that year she “probably was the only actress who ate my way to the Oscars”.
In February 2011, Portman took the best actress Oscar home for her role as Nina Sayers Black Swan. She gave then Benjamin Millepied -He met on the set of the film-a shout-out in her acceptance speech.

“My beautiful love, Benjamin Millepied, who chore the film and has now given me my most important role of my life,” said Portman at the time, referring to motherhood. (The couple welcomed their son, Aleph, in June 2011.)
Portman and Millepied, 47, married in June 2012 and expanded their family in 2017 with daughter Amalia. US Weekly confirmed in August 2023 that Portman and Millepied were separated after 11 years of marriage. They completed their divorce in February 2024 (it was generally reported that Millepied was unfaithful before the split of the couple.)
After her divorce, Portman started to speak more frankly about her role as a mother.
“My children are always a source of excitement, because you just see them develop into the individuals they are,” she said in one Interview Magazine Profile published last month. “I spent a lot of time with my friends, with their children and my children; that is nice.”
During the same interview she was asked whether a family allowed ‘balance’ in her personal and professional life.
“Getting children, that wasn’t really my motivation,” she replied, referring to her ex. “I was just excited to have children, and with a person I was in love with. But it is really important to have people in your life who will keep you on the spot.”
