Nashville ‘Casts Leann Rimes, Kimberly Williams-Paisley

“9-1-1: Nashville” continues to build his cast, with both Leann Rimes and Kimberly Williams-Paisley at the upcoming ABC drama series.
Variety Has learned from sources that both Rimes and Williams-Paisley play the leading role in addition to previously announced cast members Chris O’Donnell and Jessica Capshaw.
Representatives for the 20th television, which produces the series, refused to comment.
Rimes is best known for her music career, because she is one of the most successful artists of her generation. She has sold more than 48 million records worldwide and is responsible for hit numbers such as “How Do I Live” and “Can’t Fight the Moonlight”. She has also received eight Grammy nominations in her career, with two victories, and history written as the youngest solo artist ever to take a Grammy home. As an actress, Rimes has appeared in shows such as ‘Moesha’, ‘Days of Our Lives’ and ‘Drop Dead Diva’, as well as in films such as ‘Logan Lucky’ and TV films, including ‘It’s Christmas, Eve’ and ‘Northern Lights’.

Williams-Paisley previously played in the ABC music drama “Nashville” and the ABC Sitcom “according to Jim”, of which the last eight seasons were broadcast. Her other TV credits are “Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings” and “Two and A Half Men.” In film she is known for the films “Father of the Bride”, as well as films such as “The Christmas Chronicles” and characteristic films such as “A Nashville Christmas Carol” and “Sister Swap”.
She is taken back by Gersh and Link Management.
“9-1-1: Nashville” is the latest expansion of the “9-1-1” franchise. Fox has previously broadcast the “9-1-1: Lone Star”, based in Texas with Rob Lowe, with that show that completed his run after five seasons at the beginning of February. “9-1-1” was made by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear and premiered on Fox in 2018 before moving to ABC for his seventh season in 2024. Season 8 of the series is currently being broadcast.
“9-1-1: Nashville” comes from writers Murphy, Minear and Rashad Raisani, with all three executive production. Chris O’Donnell, Falchuk, Brad Buecker and “9-1-1” Ster Angela Bassett also executive products. 20th television, where Murphy is an overall deal, is the studio.
