Naomi Watts was a lady three, no, four times, as evidenced by a quick change of clothes while on the road in New York City to promote her book, Dare I say: everything I wish I knew about menopausewhen it was released on Tuesday, January 21st.

Styled by Jeananne WilliamsWatts, 56, dressed the part by championing a sense of powerful femininity through her fashion.

While appearing on NBC’s Todaythe actress wore a collared bouclé-tweed dress from Emilia Wickstead’s Resort 2025 collection, which, as the designer said Vogue job in November 2024, was inspired by memories of her mother’s wardrobe, but with more contemporary shapes.

Watts leaned into this idea with Loewe slingback Mary Jane pumps with a modern sculptural block heel, oversized Balenciaga sunglasses, a top-handle Oscar de la Renta bag and a minimalist gold Bea Bongiasca ring.

Speaking to host Savannah GuthrieWatts discussed breaking the taboo subject of menopause. The actress said she was 36 and had just finished filming King Kong and was trying to start a family when she was told she was on the brink of menopause.

“That just caused me to panic and I didn’t know what to do,” she said. “I felt very lonely, ashamed, like everything was over and that’s another reason why I wanted to write the book, because I want people to understand that this is not the end. There is still a lot of life ahead of us and plenty to do.”

Watts’ wardrobe changes were far from over, either, as she followed it up with a second, equally ladylike ensemble for a performance at Live with Kelly and Mark. This time she wore an off-the-shoulder dress from Shushu/Tong. During the cohost segment Kelly Ripa aptly described Watts’ honest yet humorous account of menopause as ‘required reading’ for women everywhere.

She carried another Oscar de la Renta bag, the Ivy, which the luxury fashion house says combines sophistication and practicality, along with gold ‘O’ emblems that pay tribute to the graceful curve of the house logo. A fitting choice for Watts, a leading voice in menopause awareness, whose book is as candid and informative as it is funny – a legendary achievement in itself.
