Nancy Guthrie House now secured by local police

Nancy Guthrie’s home is now under security by local police, the latest development as speculation swirls around the fate of “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie’s mother.
In a statement released Sunday, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said it would “maintain a presence at Nancy Guthrie’s residence for safety reasons.” The statement comes after police investigated areas of Nancy Guthrie’s home and following a video statement Savannah Guthrie and her siblings made Saturday evening, noting they were willing to pay a ransom for their mother’s return.
Authorities said the new security arrangement was made “at the request of the Guthrie family.”
The message sent Saturday has sparked new speculation about Nancy Guthrie’s well-being. “We received your message and we understand,” said Savannah Guthrie said in the videoflanked by her siblings Annie and Camron. “We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace. This is very precious to us, and we will pay for it.”
Nancy Guthrie went missing from her home in Arizona on January 31, and on Monday the Pima County Sheriff’s Office announced that the disappearance was being treated as a crime. Sheriff Chris Nanos told CBS that investigators found “very concerning” evidence in her home.
On Thursday, the FBI, which is also investigating the suspected kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie, offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to her recovery, “and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.”
