‘MTV Movie & TV Awards’ Show will not return for 2025

MTV does not return their annual celebration of the best pop culture … We have learned that their famous ‘Movie & TV Awards’ show for the second consecutive year has been mercy.

Sources in the vicinity of production tell TMZ … The annual event does not return this year and remains “on a break”.

It sounds like the future of the Awards Show is very much in the air … We are not told that they will bring it back, or to remove it completely, solidified.

Mtv “paused” the Awards Show last year … but at the moment we were told that the show was not being canceled and would return in 2025 with an updated format.

There have been some major changes since we were told in May 2024 that the show was returning … Paramount Global, the parent company of MTV, merges with Skydance Media and last month Paramount Honcho Bruce Gillmer Allegedly, a company memo sent about major events that are suspended.

Gillmer’s Memo did not mention the “MTV Movie & TV Awards”, but now the member of the CMT Music Awards and Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards under the sidelines.

The show had a good run from 1992 to 2023 … but it is a rough few years ago, and it will be interesting to see what awaits us.
