Mortgage firm Lower introduces “limited access” referral program.

Lower has officially launched Movoto Advantage, a program that connects vetted agents with buyers and sellers. The company had a limited rollout in late 2025.
Lower, a fast-growing mortgage lender that bought Movoto last year, has launched a new referral program. The program, aptly called Movoto Advantage, connects vetted real estate agents with homebuyers and homesellers in their market.
The interview process starts with a questionnaire about their transaction sides and volume, which markets they serve, whether they are part of a team, and which zip codes they would like to receive leads from. There is no guarantee that agents will receive their first choice because Lower has limited the number of agents who will receive leads in a given zip code.
Movoto Advantage has a monthly fee that varies based on the number of leads an agent wants to receive. Agents will also pay a 35 percent success fee at closing, the company explained in an email to Inman.
Lower sends leads via text message, and when an agent accepts a lead, a Lower team member connects the agent and the home buyer or home seller through a three-way call. The lower-level team member then leaves the call so that the agent and consumer can discuss their transaction needs. From there, agents can track their leads through the Movoto Advantage dashboard.

“Top real estate agents should be focused on being successful in connecting with consumers, and not getting into situations that reduce them to a commodity or make consumers feel like they are being spammed,” John Berkowitz, president of real estate at Lower, said in a written statement. “Movoto Advantage was built by listening to both serious buyers and sellers looking for expertise, and top agents looking to build sustainable businesses.”
“By giving high-performing agents real conversations with motivated buyers and sellers, and giving those consumers the support they need to navigate the transaction, we’re building an ecosystem that works better for everyone,” he added.
Agents and their clients can also sign up for Lower Connect, which matches them with a Lower loan officer. The loan officer guides them through the mortgage process, from pre-approval to closing.
Lower quietly began rolling out Movoto Advantage in late 2025, hiring more than 200 agents. The company doubled its growth during the first quarter, with “thousands of consumer launches.”
“The traditional buying experience has too many friction points that push qualified buyers to the sidelines,” Lower CEO Dan Snyder said in a written statement. “Movoto Advantage is a direct reflection of how we think about homeownership at Lower. When agents and lenders work together within one ecosystem, the barriers break down and buyers move forward with real momentum. As we begin to close the gap between wanting a home and owning it.”
