Minor Hotels appoints Milan Jajčanin as hotel manager of Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles | News

Minor Hotels, a global hospitality group with hotels, resorts and branded residences in 59 countries, has appointed Milan Jajčanin as hotel manager of Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles, strengthening the resort’s operational leadership as it continues to build momentum in the Indian Ocean.
Milan has a strong track record in hotel operations and food and beverage leadership, with a career shaped by service delivery, team development and guest experience management. Known for his hands-on, detail-oriented approach, he has supported performance improvements in multi-departmental environments with an emphasis on consistency, standards and people-first leadership.
In his role, Milan will oversee day-to-day operations at the 192-key resort, working closely with the leadership team to drive operational discipline, increase guest satisfaction and support an engaged, high-performing culture across all departments.
Commenting on the position, Milan Jajčanin, Hotel Manager at Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles, said: “I am delighted to be joining Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles at an exciting time for the resort. Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles is located on the west coast of Mahé, approximately 30 minutes from Seychelles International Airport, and reopened in June 2025. Following a complete renovation, the resort offers more luxurious accommodation, including lagoon access rooms, an extensive pool area, multiple dining options and bars, an AvaniSpa and a curated program of cultural experiences.
Avani’s growth pipeline includes a series of strategically timed openings in Asia and Australia, further strengthening the brand’s footprint in in-demand lifestyle destinations. Highlights include Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane in Laos and Avani Kota Kinabalu Hotel in Malaysia, both opening in Q2 2026, in addition to Avani Mooloolaba Beach Hotel in Australia, also launching in Q2 2026. Avani Queenstown in New Zealand will follow in the third quarter of 2026, and Avani Wollongong in Australia is scheduled to open in 2027.
