Mika Abdalla joins Max Medical drama ‘The Pitt’

Mika Abdalla has been tapped for a recurring role in Max’s upcoming medical drama ‘The Pitt’. While details surrounding her character remain under wraps, her story will span the show’s entire 15-episode season.

Abdalla joins previously announced cast members Noah Wyle, Tracy Ifeachor, Patrick Ball, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez and Katherine LaNasa. Other recent additions include Shawn Hatosy, Michael Hyatt, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Brandon Mendez Homer, Kristin Villanueva, Amielynn Abellera, Alexandra Metz, Krystel V. McNeil and Deepti Gupta.

According to an official logline, “The Pitt” is a real-life examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in contemporary America, seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern hospital in Pittsburgh.” Production on “The Pitt” began in August. The first episode is scheduled for 2025.

On the film side, Abdalla recently starred in Adam Rehmeier’s coming-of-age comedy “Snack Shack” and the Hulu original film “Sex Appeal.” Her recent television credits include ‘The Flash’, ‘SWAT’ and ‘Project MC2’.

Series creator and showrunner R. Scott Gemmill wrote the pilot and executive produced the series with Wyle, John Wells, Erin Jontow, Simran Baidwan and Michael Hissrich. “The Pitt” is produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros.

Gemmill previously served as executive producer of all fourteen seasons of “NCIS: Los Angeles” and of Wells’ NBC medical drama “ER” from 1999 to 2008.

Abdalla is repped by Cultivate Entertainment, Verve Talent and Literary Agency, Coast to Coast Talent Group, Goodman Genow Schenkman Smelkinson & Christopher and The Initiative Group.
