Microsoft adds AI-powered deep research tools to Copilot
Microsoft introduces a “deep examination” AI-driven tool in Microsoft 365 Copilot, the AI Chatbot app.
A series of deep research agents has recently been launched in chatbots, including OpenAi’s Chatgpt, Google’s Gemini and Xai’s Grok. The appointment of they are so-called reasoning AI models, which have the ability to think through problems and to control skills that are demonstrably important for conducting in-depth research into a subject.
The flavors of Microsoft are called researcher and analyst.
Researcher combines the deep research model of OpenAI – which drives the company’s own chatgpt research tool – with “advanced orchestration” and “deep search options”. Microsoft claims that researcher can perform analyzes, including the development of a go-to-market strategy and making a quarterly report for a customer.
As far as analysts are concerned, it is based on the O3-mini-reasoning model of OpenAi and is “optimized to perform advanced data analysis,” said Microsoft.
