Michael Blackson says you can judge a comic’s skills by the car they drive
TMZ.com
Michael Blackson says the real reviews of a comedy club aren’t found online, they’re in the parking lot… because all you have to do is look at a comic’s car to judge his talent.
We caught up with the comedian at LAX Thursday… and he was picking someone up in a pristine white Rolls-Royce – a car that he says cost him a ton of money.
Blackson claims the car proves he’s super funny… because hilarious comedians get paid a lot of money – and can buy very expensive cars.
MB even gives our cameraman a ride through the airport in the whip… and tells him he bought the car because LA is all about status symbols – with the car you’re driving being one of the biggest.
Michael also starts growing up poor in Liberia. He says people who come to America from his country usually just send some money home to help their families, but he was lucky that it was a big hit.
Blackson also has some advice for our cameraman… buy a Rolls even if you can’t afford it, because people will definitely treat you differently. Worth noting that Michael is a comedian, not a financial advisor, so follow his advice at your own risk.
And for all the car enthusiasts, Michael tells us about his dream drive… watch the clip to the end to hear what he hopes to trade.
In short… start taking stand-up comedy classes – because there’s clearly money to be made if you’re funny enough!
