Melania wears a $5,000 black velvet suit amid country’s ‘affordability crisis’

While many onlookers may not have known the price tag of Melania’s stunning outfits, she even gave her own fans pause when she promoted a $2,800 designer handbag.

Use her official FLOTUS account at Xthe first lady thanked designer Alexandra Gucci Zarini “for creating the beautifully essential UNITY handbag,” 20 percent of sales of which benefit her foster youth initiative. “Your support of Fostering the Future is transforming lives – giving foster youth access to college, ultimately leading to job security and financial independence,” Melania wrote in her caption for the limited-edition black handbag.

The price tag made even MAGA supporters feel left out.

“I absolutely love this but I will never be able to achieve one. 2800.00 to me is two months rent. I love that the upper class can do this but not middle class Americans,” said one person complained in the comments.

One second told Melania: “That’s a beautiful handbag with beautiful intentions. If it didn’t cost almost my monthly salary, I would buy one in a heartbeat! I really hope those who have the means sell them.”
