Melania Trump jumps to Barron’s defense to disprove Harvard rumors

Earlier this week, President Trump cut around $ 100 million to federal contracts for Harvard. Rumors started almost immediately that the 19-year-old Barron, who just completed his first year at NYU, was shot by the Ivy League school.
Melania, 55, however, entered to defend her son and told several news shops: “Barron does not apply to Harvard and every claim that he, or that someone applies on his behalf is completely incorrect.”
President Trump has canceled almost $ 3 billion in federal research grants to Harvard and has launched a push to prevent the school from registering international students.
Currently, the Boston-Adjacent Campus houses around 6,800 international students, who make up about 27 percent of the entire student body.
The president’s order followed on Harvard’s refusal to meet a list of requirements aimed at the school’s dei programs (diversity, equity and inclusion) and international admission policy.
