The pre-war building was originally designed by architect Emery Roth, who was best known for his work on some of New York’s most beloved Beaux Arts structures.

This includes the famous San Remo Building, an iconic feature of the New York City skyline thanks to its twin-tower design and history of famous residents, including Demi Moore And Diane Keaton.

Zabinski’s building was listed as completed in 1932, about three years after the San Remo was finished.

And while the property may not have the same prestige as Roth’s other projects, it shows off its classic Art Deco aesthetic, which has been “impeccably maintained,” according to the description.

As for the co-op board, the listing highlights the somewhat relaxed rules, noting that the property is pet-friendly, allows pied-à-terre and allows residents to sublet their units after owning them for a year.

The building is just a few minutes’ walk from several New York hotspots and locations, including Central Park, the Frick Collection and The Mark Hotel, where Zabinski Markle threw her baby shower in February 2019, three months before she and Prince Harry welcomed their son, Prince Archie.

The ad also notes that the street the property is located on has something of its own iconic appeal, thanks to the beautiful Christmas lights that decorate the trees every year – ‘creating a beautiful canopy of warm light’ that attracts visitors from all over the city.
