Meghan Markle Wears Designer Dress She Was Once Accused of ‘Stealing’

Speaking about how the discoveries were made after Markle’s photo shoot, Grigoriadis said: “What I heard is that the people who did the shoot brought back all the different clothes without thinking about it, and a few months later the designer said, ‘Oh my God, wait a minute, where is this dress? Where is this piece of jewelry? How did it not come back here?'”

She continued, “It never occurred to anyone that she (Meghan) would be the one to take it. And what I heard is that she justified this by saying she didn’t want anyone to sell the clothes or jewelry on eBay.”

Grigoriadis scoffed at that idea, saying, “No one does that. You would be fired from a fashion house for that. The idea that an assistant would take a dress that Meghan Markle wore during a photo shoot and sell it on eBay is an impossibility. The assistant would be fired immediately.”

She warned: ‘If you want to take things home from a photo shoot, you have to ask. You don’t say later that there were reasons for that.’

In Grigoriadis’ mind, it boiled down to Markle believing she was above all in “exalted sphere” and “didn’t follow the rules of the game that celebrities and other bold-faced names follow.”
