The departure came after Diva Duchess Markle “used” her mother to take care of her children – and sources tell us that even her own mother got so sick of her “constant moan and drama” that she had to flee the luxury house.
Insiders say that the departure of Ragland Markle, 43, and Prince Harry, 40, “struggles to adjust” without her.
Yoga teacher Ragland, 68, had moved to the vast mansion of Sussexes at the beginning of 2024 to help them by a difficult patch characterized by professional setbacks and personal challenges.
The close mother-daughter binding reinforced in this time, with Ragland a steady presence in the house she shared with Markle, Harry and their two children-archie, Six and Lilibet, four.
Now, after about 18 months, Ragland has returned to her own home in Los Angeles, so that the pair of “robbery” has been left behind according to sources.
An insider close to the family told us: “Doria was a steady support for Harry and Meghan for a difficult time. She gave them the much needed emotional power.
“But she has her own life and social circle, and she got the constant moan and dramas of her own daughter sick.
“Meghan is deeply upset that her mother left – she even argued:” Don’t leave me behind “while she walked the door with her suitcases.
“Harry also considered Doria a mother figure, and both feel her absence.”
Before Ragland moved to the Sussexes estate, Ragland regularly shed from View Park-Windsor Hills in Los Angeles to visit Markle and Harry.
Her move to the guesthouse with two bedrooms on their $ 29 million building was inspired by a turbulent period after the release of their Netflix documentary in December 2022.
Since then, the couple has had to deal with countless professional obstacles, including the loss of a podcast deal of $ 20 million and the cancellation of the animated Netflix series from Markle Pearl.
Despite signing at WME Talent Agency in 2023, the Sussexes have difficulty securing new projects.
Our source added: “Doria is happy with how the family is doing now. She is ready to concentrate on her own life, but remains an important part of the family.
“She is often planning to visit, but will not live with them full time again.”
The departure of Ragland coincided with more unrest for the couple as their public relations team experiences unrest.
Recent reports indicate that at least four important members left the couple, including deputy press secretary Kyle Boulia and European communication director Charlie Gipson.
The Sussexes have since switched to Method Communications, an agency established in the US, to handle their media and philanthropic efforts.
Markle has also renounced former confidants such as stylist Jessica Mulroney and friends, including Violet von Westenholz, Millie Mackintosh and Priyanka Chopra.
Allegedly the Sussexes also fell out with the Beckhams after they had accused them of leaking information to the press – and Harry’s constant gap with the royal family becomes deeper every day.
Our insider said: “This pair is completely lost.
“And Meghan has to think that something is deep wrong if even her own mother cannot stand to live with her in a huge country house.”
