Meghan Markle dragged Prince Harry’s skiing video after his cheeky reporter texts
Meghan Markle was roasted for sharing a “desperate” video of her husband zooming down a ski slope on the heels of the Duke’s defiant text messages to a female reporter who appeared in court and reminded royal fans of his Playboy past. RadarOnline.com can reveal.
Harry’s exchanges with The daily mailCharlotte Griffiths witnessed him calling her “sugar”, sending her “kisses” and engaging in other flirtations, which came to light this week as his civil case against the tabloid’s publisher, Associated Newspapers, is now in the hands of a judge.
Markle, 44, posted a video of “My boys,” which showed Harry, 41, flying down a completely empty slope under a blue sky as their six-year-old son, Archie, chased after him at a brisk clip without poles.
“Fast learner, Archie! So proud,” the former cable TV actress raved about her son’s skiing skills, which seemed to be quite advanced for a child raised in the Southern California coastal town of Montecito.
While Markle has posted photos of ski trips with girlfriends in the past, this is the first time she’s shown how Archie became such a talented athlete, although once again she made sure he was completely unrecognizable. The video was taken from behind and showed a child bundled up in a gray snow suit, black helmet and gloves.
Markle was mocked online for the timing of the release of a rare video of the father and son, a day after Harry’s flirty conversations with another woman were shared in court. He previously testified that he met Griffiths only once in 2011 and broke off contact the day after he discovered she was a member of the media.
“Quick, let’s use the kids to distract the public from Harry being in court and in bed with the press,” someone snapped on Reddit.
“This flirting with ‘Griff’ and the creepy ‘movie snuggles’ debacle is so messed up. MM is literally SPIRAL,” a second user commented.
“Please everyone stop watching the flirty text messages H had with a journalist,” a third commenter joked in response to the video.
“She thought she was the only one who called him H and was taken to Botswana when in reality she was one of many women,” a fourth commented about Markle.
Markle is furious about the situation involving her husband’s text message to Griffiths, with a source close to the situation opening up RadarOnline exclusive: “This has led to Harry being nicknamed ‘Flirty Harry’ due to the tone of those messages, and Meghan is angry that this is all making the rounds now.”
“Meghan finds it embarrassing and frustrating, especially considering how hard they have worked to get their story under control, and now that these old conversations are being publicly torn apart.”
The text messages revealed that Griffiths had nicknamed Harry “Mr. Mischief” and also called him “H” as they exchanged messages about a “fun weekend of naughtiness” on December 4, 2011, which were revealed in London’s High Court.
The two met in June 2011 and exchanged phone numbers at a party. The prince resurfaced in December 2011 and met Griffiths via Facebook, where she signed a coquettish message: “Smooches, CG String. Xxx.”
The following month, Griffiths called Harry “H Bomb” and told him in a text: “We missed you so much last week at Arthur’s.”
He wrote back: “I wish I was there but unfortunately I got stuck in Cornwall doing army stuff 🙁 Otherwise I would have played there and then drunk you under the table, of course!!”
Harry added playfully, “I wish I could have been there… especially now that you’re there! Do you ever work?!!… I hope you’re doing well, Griff… Miss our movie snuggles!!”
