Mayor Adams and Diddy indicted
Months ago, disgraced mayor of New York Eric Adams forcibly accused ‘freak’ predator Sean “Diddy” Combs to return the key to the city amid allegations of sexual assault and now both men are accused of serious crimes, RadarOnline.com can reveal.
In September 2023, Combs was given the key to the city during a ceremony in Times Square. Mayor Adams said at the time, “The bad boy of entertainment gets the key to the city from the bad boy of politics.” Rolling stone reported.
On September 26, Mayor Adams was accused in a federal indictment of accepting improper campaign contributions. WABC reported.
Investigators served a search warrant at Gracie Mansion, some of which were carrying bags. They spent at least an hour at the mayor’s home, officials said.
Adams received a summons and they took away his cell phone.
In a written statement, Mayor Adams said: “I always knew that if I stood up for New Yorkers, I would be a target – and a target I became. If I am charged, I am innocent and I will fight this with all my might. us of my strength and spirit.”
Adams “solicited and demanded” bribes, including free or heavily discounted trips from an unnamed Turkish official, the indictment filed by the U.S. attorney’s office in Manhattan alleges.
With these charges, Adams becomes the first mayor in New York City history to be indicted while in office. If he were to resign, the city’s public advocate… Jumaane Williamswould replace him and then a special election would be scheduled.
The Governor of New York. Kathy Hochul also has the power to remove him from office if necessary. A spokesperson for Hochul told WABC that the governor is aware of the “concerning news reports” and that they are monitoring the situation, adding: “It would be premature to comment further until the matter has been confirmed by law enforcement.”
