Marriott International signs agreement for debut of St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in New Zealand | News


Marriott International, Inc. has announced a signed agreement with PHC Queenstown Limited to launch St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Queenstown, New Zealand. Combining timeless glamor and progressive spirit, the property is expected to deliver exquisite experiences at one of the world’s best addresses from late 2027.

The hotel occupies a prominent corner location in the center of Queenstown, overlooking the Remarkables Mountains and Lake Wakatipu. This luxury new-build hotel is expected to have 145 rooms and will be Marriott’s first location in Queenstown as the first St. Regis hotel in New Zealand. “Securing a luxury presence in Queenstown has been a strategic priority for Marriott, and we are thrilled to soon establish the iconic St. Regis brand in such an exceptional destination. Founded more than 120 years ago on New York’s 5th Avenue, St. Regis is a globally respected name in luxury sought after by discerning travelers around the world. Queenstown attracts more than two million visitors annually, making it ideal for a world-class luxury hotel. The St. Regis Queenstown will undeniably become the destination’s best hotel offering and will further elevate Queenstown’s status as a must-visit destination.”

In addition to the planned 145 luxury rooms and suites, The St. Regis Queenstown is also expected to feature the brand’s renowned features, including sophisticated bar and dining options such as The Drawing Room, The St. Regis Bar, an all-day dining venue and an event space. St. Regis Butler Service has been a signature offering of the brand for more than a century, providing guests with anticipatory, personalized service that ensures their unique preferences are understood and realized. Revered around the world as the best in class, the Butler Service experience includes packing and unpacking services, garment pressing, and personalized in-room beverage and wake-up services.

The St. Regis Spa will offer a hydrothermal zone and a relaxation and wellness lounge, complemented by the hotel’s heated indoor pool and fitness center.

The St. Regis Queenstown will join Marriott’s growing pipeline of St. Regis Hotels in the Australia, New Zealand and Pacific (ANZP) region, marking the company’s third signing for the brand in the region.
