Marjorie Taylor Greene resigns after Donald Trump threatened her

Greene claimed that in every election cycle, Americans are “used by the Political-Industrial Complex of both political parties” to choose the side that can convince Americans to hate the other side the most.

“And the results are always the same,” she noted. “No matter which way the political pendulum swings, Republican or Democrat, nothing ever gets better for the everyday American man or woman.”

She cited examples such as debt levels “getting higher,” small businesses “being swallowed up” by big corporations, the power of the dollar getting lower and lower, and more.

“The average American family can no longer survive on a single breadwinner’s income because both parents must work simply to survive,” she said. “And today, many in my children’s generation feel hopeless for their future and don’t think they will ever achieve the American dream, which breaks my heart.”

Greene then lamented why she ran for Congress, affirming that she “fought every day with the belief that Make America Great Again meant America First,” and reminded her followers that she has “one of the most conservative voting records in Congress.”

After discussing the recent government shutdown and her problems with it, as well as bills she supported that she believed reflected Trump’s Executive Orders, Greene concluded that “many ordinary Americans are no longer easily convinced by paid TV political propaganda spokespersons and consultants and by paid social media shills who obediently serve with cult-like persuasion to force others to swallow the political party’s talking points.”

As her resignation letter continued, she claimed she “fought harder than almost any other elected Republican to elect Trump” and even left her mother’s side because her father had brain surgery to fly to DC to defend him and vote no on the Democrats’ second impeachment in 2021.

Although she feels like she has never had any doubts, she noted that “loyalty should be a two-way street.”

Turning her attention to Trump and their recent issues regarding the Epstein files, Greene said: “Standing up for American women who were raped, trafficked and used by wealthy, powerful men at the age of 14 should lead to me being called a traitor and threatened by the President of the United States, who I fought for.”

Although she said it was “hurtful,” Greene insisted that her “life is filled with happiness” and that her “beliefs remained unchanged” as her “self-worth is not determined by a man.”

“I have never valued power, titles or attention, despite all the wrong assumptions about me,” she explained, calling them “pointless” and “empty traps that hold too many people in Washington.”

Greene also claimed that her “only goal and desire has ever been to hold the Republican Party accountable to the promises it makes to the American people and to put America first.”

Along the way, she noted that she had endured “nonstop for years…personal attacks, slander,” and more.

The controversial congresswoman said this was “unfair and wrong” for both her family and the district.

“I have too much self-respect and dignity, love my family way too much, and don’t want my dear district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me from the president we all fought for, just to fight and win my election, while the Republicans will likely lose the midterm elections,” she added. “And in turn, he is expected to defend the president from impeachment after he hatefully dumped tens of millions of dollars on me and tried to destroy me.”

Although she noted that it is “so absurd” and “completely not serious,” she admitted that she refuses to be a “battered woman.”

“If I’m being sidelined by MAGA Inc… then a lot of everyday Americans have been sidelined too,” she noted. “There’s no ‘plan to save the world’ or crazy 4D chess game being played.”

Greene concluded her resignation message with the following: “When the ordinary American people finally realize and understand that the political industrial complex of both parties is tearing this country apart, that no elected leader like me is capable of stopping the Washington machine from gradually destroying our country, and instead the reality is that they, the ordinary Americans, The People, hold the real power over Washington, then I will stand by their side to rebuild it.”

“Until then, I will return to the people I love, to live life to the fullest as I always have, and look forward to a new path.”
