Marjorie Taylor Greene questions Donald Trump about the Butler shooting

Greene added her voice to the growing skepticism by resharing a lengthy post after from activist Trisha Hope, who questioned both the official story and Trump’s response in the aftermath.

Hope recalled that Trump discussed the incident shortly after it occurred, writing, “So many people have asked me what happened. Please tell us what happened. And so I will tell you exactly what happened, and you will never hear it from me a second time, because it is actually too painful to tell.”

She described the moment as striking, noting, “When I stood on the convention floor, you could have heard a pin drop as he spoke.”

But Hope said the tone of the comments raised concerns, adding: ‘My first thought was how strange it was for him to start out this way. He was almost killed a few days earlier and yet he stated that this would be the only time he talked about it, that was my first red flag.”

She then called the moment “completely out of character” for Trump.
