Mariah Carey’s brother claims she is behind a ‘defamatory’ fan-made video

Mariah Carey’s estranged brother continues to wage a legal war against the pop superstar, claiming she employs a fan who made a brutal YouTube video about him. RadarOnline.com can reveal.

Morgan Carey claimed in a new legal filing that it was one of Mariah Lambsas her fans are known, made defamatory statements about him while repeating shocking claims Emotions singer made about her sibling in her 2020 memoir.

Morgan filed an amended lawsuit in March after becoming aware of YouTube video made by a fan named Lambily, titled Morgan Carey: A deep dive into Mariah Carey’s disturbing older brother.

He initially sued Mariah in 2021, accusing her of defaming him in her memoir The meaning of Mariah Careywhere the superstar accused him of being violent.

A judge previously dismissed fourteen of sixteen claims in his original lawsuit, and his appeal was dismissed in 2023.

The new complaint alleges that “…the individual identified as responsible for this video, one Lambily, is under the control and control of Mariah, and the statements contained therein were made by both of her personally through Lambily.”

The video echoed Mariah’s memoir which claimed Morgan was physically violent towards their mother, Patricia Carey. Her husband and the siblings’ father, Alfred Roy Carey, left his family in 1973, but not without a lot of drama first.

The documentary began with Mariah reading a passage from the audiobook of her memoir about an incident involving Morgan and Alfred.

“It took 12 officers to separate my brother and father, and yet my mother trusted him the most. He had become her strong man, her protector. Almost a father figure to her, a position that should never be filled by a son,” said the Long Island resident.

The piece also included clips of Morgan bashing his sister, in which he was shown saying, “Mariah is someone who holds a grudge and is not empathetic, not compassionate, and only sees the world through the filter of her own ego, and that’s tragic.”

In another clip, Morgan sneered, “Ego is so out of control she feels like the rules of physics don’t apply to her because she’s Mariah Carey.”
