Lucy Liu, Stephanie HSU is honored by Asian American Foundation

Lucy Liu and Stephanie HSU will receive awards on the Asian American Foundation (Taaf) Heritage Summit and Awards Dinner.

The two -day meeting of 21-22 May celebrates the liveliness, leadership and growing influence of the Asian American, native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (Aanpi) community. The top calls votes from entertainment, business, public services and grassroots that organize for high-impact panels and discussions that form the national dialogue about identity, inclusion and intergenerational change.

“I am deeply honored to receive this prize from the Asian American Foundation,” said Liu. “It is a tribute to Taaf’s vision of fairness, representation and lasting impact. I am inspired every day by the power and sparkle of the Asian American community, and I am committed to help strengthen our voices while we form a more just and empowered perspective.”

HSU said: “I am so honored to receive a taaf prize and to be in a room full of people who celebrate all the ways it is, indeed an honor to be Asian.

Vivek Ranadivé (owner and chairman, Sacramento Kings) will be honored alongside Liu and HSU.

“I am humble and deeply honored to receive this recognition from the Asian American Foundation and gratefully for the opportunity to participate in this meaningful event,” said Ranadivé. “It is a privilege to stand next to many inspiring leaders who shape the future and elevate our communities.”

During the two days, keynotes and panels are held with Tan France, Joe Tsai, Poorna Jagannathan, Shoba Narayan, David Henry Hwang, Pablo Torre, Juju Chang, Vicky Nguyen and more.

Vartelelijk conversations with Aanpi athletes, actors, educators and media makers will explore Aanpi representation in film, television and food.

During the top, the Stateus index, the leading national study of the perception of Americans of Asian American communities and a deep dive with Russell Jeung, professor at San Francisco State University and Stop Aapi Hate co-founder will be released.
