Love is a blind contestant who is hospitalized after applying nail glue to her eye

Love is blind season 10 contestant Elissa Finley never expected her search for love would land her in the emergency room.
Elissa, 39, was rushed to hospital after accidentally putting nail glue in her eye, mistaking it for eye drops.
“I was halfway through one of the days I had been on four dates and there was a break,” the aesthetic nurse injector shared TudumNetflix’s official companion site, in an interview published on Wednesday, February 11, which marked the premiere of season 10 and the release of the first six episodes. “I went into the locker room and just saw a bottle on the table that looked like eye drops we use in the hospital.”
Elissa said she quickly noticed a different texture than she expected and felt an unsettling sensation, noting, “I put it in my eye and thought, ‘Holy crap. That’s thick.'”
A little later, Elissa realized that she had accidentally dropped a large amount of nail glue into her eye, which is not only uncomfortable but also dangerous. It hardens immediately and can seal the eyelids and cause chemical burns, infections or permanent damage.
Elissa revealed that when she looked at the bottle and confirmed her worst fears, medics on the scene rushed to her aid. “I kept my eye open because if you close it and you get glue, you’re going to rip your skin off,” she recalled, stating that doctors later told her she had suffered a corneal abrasion during her unexpected hospital visit.

Elissa said it was quite an experience, revealing: “I had to sit there with a bag of saline solution just rinsing my eyes. I took the glue out and then luckily I kept my eyelashes.”
Fortunately, she also suffered no damage to her eyesight. “Luckily I had contact lenses in, which saved my eye,” the Netflix personality said.
Elissa revealed that she was back on set the next day Tudum“I had to wear an eye patch at home, so that was fun.”
She said her recovery was faster than expected. “On day two it was just a bit blurry and not irritating. I just couldn’t wear my contact lenses, so I was in the pods half-blind,” Elissa shared, revealing that she refused to stop filming. “I mean, I was really committed to this.”
Elissa was one of the season 10 singles from Ohio revealed by Netflix in January. As for her castmates’ reactions, “They were a little shocked,” the actress said LIB said newcomer, revealing that she felt the support of her ladies in the pods. “They were so great though. That was the best part. Those girls rallied behind me and then we went into the dating world.”
Episodes 1-6 of Love is blind season 10 is now streaming on Netflix. The next three episodes will be released on Wednesday, February 18, followed by two more episodes on Wednesday, February 25, and the finale on Wednesday, March 4.
