Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik from One Direction Set Netflix series

A new three -part documentary series with Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson from One Direction goes to Netflix.

The former band members started a road trip through America that is described as a spontaneous adventure, complete with “resounding, exploration and a lot of laughter”, according to an official press release.

The series is intended to give fans of the stars a rare look in the worlds of two of the most private members of One Direction. In three episodes, Malik and Tomlinson have intimate conversations about life, love, loss and paternity. This comes after the death of their former bandmate, Liam Payne, who died at the age of 31 in October 2024 in Argentina.

The show is directed by Nicola Marsh (“Song Exploder”, “Stay on Board: The Leo Baker Story”) and is produced by Campfire Studios (“Unknown number: The High School Catfish”; “Smartless: On the Road”; and “America’s Sweethearts”).

Both artists have had a busy year as Solo acts and can be seen for a still busier 2026. Malik recently announced a residence in Las Vegas for January of next year. Tomlinson, for his part, follows the release of his third studio album “How Did I Got here?” (planned for January 23) with a World Arena Tour from 2026 that will be launched next summer.

On his upcoming album, Tomlinson said: “I summarize it as ‘the record I always deserved to make’. My bread and butter is my honesty.

Earlier this year, Malik completed his own run to support his fourth solo album, ‘Room Under The Stairs’. Last November he started his very first Headliner-Tour, ‘Stairway to the Sky’, with a series of shows in London, Manchester and Edinburgh. Earlier this year he brought the Tour Statesside with versions in New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles before he closed the Trek in Mexico City.

Payne died after he had fallen from a balcony of a hotel last year. Toxicological reports confirmed that at the time of his death he had a lot of alcohol and various other substances in his system. The series is said to be held first hand and candid conversations-the first of one of the band members with regard to the death of Payne.
