Lone Star’ trailer teases asteroid in final episodes

Following the series’ midseason finale, the trailer for Fox’s “9-1-1: Lone Star” was removed. The show returns on Monday, January 20.

The 30-second preview teases an asteroid warning that could mean the end of the world, as the crew of firefighters must unite.

“9-1-1: Lone Star” is a spinoff of the original “9-1-1” – now airing on ABC – which premiered in January 2020. This new story takes place in Austin, Texas, when Owen Strand (Rob Lowe), a New York City firefighter, arrives with his son. The procedural follows the lives of firefighters as they fight to save the people in their community, while also struggling with their own lives.

The cast includes Lowe, Gina Torres, Ronen Rubinstein, Sierra McClain, Jim Parrack, Natacha Karam, Brian Michael Smith, Rafael Silva and Julian Works. The show’s finale will be followed by “Rescue: HI-Surf,” bringing an official end to the “9-1-1: Lone Star” story.
