‘Lincoln Lawyer’ renewed for season 5 ahead of season 4 premiere

Fans of “The Lincoln Lawyer” certainly won’t object to this news. Netflix’s hit legal drama has been renewed for season 5 at Netflix, ahead of the launch of the show’s fourth season.
Season 4 of ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ debuts on February 5 and is based on Michael Connelly’s novel ‘The Law of Innocence’. The fifth season will be based on the novel “Resurrection Walk” and will consist of 10 episodes.
“We are so excited to share the upcoming fourth season with audiences on February 5, and even more excited to share the news that we are already hard at work on the next one,” said co-showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez. “Season four is the most challenging and intensely personal journey we have taken with Mickey Haller yet, and we are thrilled and grateful to continue the ride in season five!”
The official logline for season 4 reads: “Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia Rulfo) faces his toughest case yet as he and his team work tirelessly to prove his innocence in the murder of a former client, Sam Scales. To clear his name, they must unravel Sam’s latest scam, forcing them to face off against the district attorney’s office, the FBI, and ghosts from Mickey’s own past.”
In addition to Garcia Rulfo, the season 4 cast includes Neve Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson and Cobie Smulders.
David E. Kelley created “The Lincoln Lawyer” for television and serves as executive producer. Humphrey developed the show and serves as executive producer and co-showrunner alongside Rodriguez. Connelly, Ross Fineman, Barry Jossen, Tana Jamieson and Matthew J Lieberman also serve as executive producers. A+E Studios produces.
According to Netflix, “The Lincoln Lawyer” has racked up 171 million views across its three seasons to date, with views defined as total hours watched divided by total running time. The show also spent a combined 26 weeks on Netflix’s global top 10 chart.
