Liam Payne gave a brutally honest interview about rehabilitation and 1D rivalry

A year after the bombshell interview, Payne uploaded his own interview YouTube video addressing claims he made on Paul’s podcast.

He said: “I think a lot of what I said just came from the wrong place. I was so angry at what was happening around me.

“Instead of looking inward, I decided to look outward at everyone else. I just took it out on everyone else, which is actually just wrong, and my own frustrations with my own career and where I ended up – I shot lurking everyone and that was wrong, so I would like to apologize for that in the first instance.”

The hitmaker noted that his comments about One Direction were a form of “self-protection” and that “the rest of the guys really supported me when I needed them most, they kind of came to my rescue”.
