Liam Hemsworth in for Henry Cavill, says release date

Throw a coin at your witch because Geralt or Rivia is hunting again. Netflix has released the first glance at season 4 of ‘The Witcher’, the Fantasy Drama series adapted from CD Projekt Red’s VideogameFranchise and Andrzej Sapkowski’s Romans with the same name. The season with eight episodes will arrive on Netflix on October 30.

Although the white protagonist of the show Geralt Geralt was played by Henry Cavill in the first three seasons of the Netflix series, Cavill went to Instagram in October 2022 to announce that he was left the series and that Liam Hemsworth would take over the role of the titular Witcher. Season 3, which was released in two parts in June and July 2023, was the last outing of Cavill as a character.

“My journey as Geralt from Rivia is filled with both monsters and adventures, and unfortunately I will put down my medallion and my swords for season 4,” Cavill wrote. “In my place, the fantastic Mr. Liam Hemsworth will take up the mantle of De Witte Wolf.”

The first teaser shows Hemsworth’s Geralt, who is very similar to the version of Cavill, overcoming a spooky Wraith. The logline reads: “After the continent-changing events of season 3, Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri are separated by a raging war and countless enemies. While their paths deviate, and sharpen their goals, they stumble on unexpected allies who like to go to their journey.
