Leonardo DiCaprio has left the Playboy image behind to finally grow up

A source close to DiCaprio said the episode was “incredibly embarrassing” for the actor, who prides himself on being able to slip in and out of nightlife hotspots unnoticed.

“Leo was furious, but tried to remain calm,” the insider said. “He’s used to being treated like royalty and not being searched like a teenager. It dawned on him how absurd it must have looked: a fifty-year-old still acting like he’s in his twenties.”

The incident came just weeks after DiCaprio publicly mused about feeling “mentally 32” despite celebrating his milestone 50th birthday. “It creates a feeling like you just want to be more honest and not waste your time,” he said. “I can only imagine how the coming decades will unfold.”

But those closest to the actor say his off-screen behavior tells a different story.

“He still has the same crew of hangers-on, bouncing from club to club, drinking champagne and haunting the scene,” said another insider.

“People have been telling him for years that it’s time to grow up, and this incident in Ibiza could be the wake-up call he needs.”

DiCaprio’s mother, Irmelin Indenbirken, 82, is said to have begged her son to leave his wild years behind him.

“Irmelin has begged him to stop behaving like a teenager,” a family source said.

“She is incredibly proud of everything he has accomplished, but it hurts her to see him surrounded by superficial friends. What she really wants is for him to build real connections and find some stability.”

Despite the concerns, DiCaprio remains one of Hollywood’s most deserving stars, recently returning to screens in the Oscar-winning comedy action thriller One battle after another.

But even his industry peers worry that the off-screen antics could soon overshadow his talent.

“He is considered one of the most talented actors of his generation,” said a longtime friend.

“But people are starting to lose patience. He is in danger of becoming a parody of himself: the eternal playboy who refuses to grow up.”

For now, those close to the star are hoping his romance with Ceretti marks a turning point.

“Everyone thinks Vittoria could be his best chance to finally settle down,” said an insider. “If anyone can make Leo quit the playboy routine for good, it’s her.”
