Lamacchia Realty opens First Rhode Island Office
Tirrell Realty – previously affiliated with the Weicert Franchise system – has served the Providence, East Bay region and the south coast of Massachusetts for almost 20 years.
Founder Phil Tirrell opened the brokerage in 2005 and brings more than 40 years of experience in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts real estate.
“I am so excited to officially have an office location in Rhode Island,” said Anthony Lamacchia, CEO of Lamacchia Realty. “We have been serving there since 2011, and I am very happy that I now have a location in East Providence. To expand in the area with Phil, Delia and their great agents, an honor and I am looking forward to great success.”
Tirrell stays in a leading role in the New East Providence Office and continues to collaborate with buyers and sellers.
The office will operate under the name of the Lamacchia Realty and all current agents will continue without interruption, according to leaders.
“I am very enthusiastic about the possibility of being affiliated with a real estate company that has such an excellent support team,” Tirrell said. “I really believe that this is a great move for myself and all my agents and customers. I see great growth for everyone.”
The Acquisition of Lamacchia comprises 20 agents of Tirrell Realty, including old employees Bill Tirrell, Larry McNulty, Luci Stoddard, Rose Pereira and administrative assistant Delia Correia.

The expansion of Lamacchia Realty to East Providence follows earlier acquisitions in Massachusetts, including NewburyPort, Amesbury, Clewsbury, Pittsfield, Dalton, Easton, Auburn, Springfield, Falmouth, Fall River and Seamonk.
The company said it is planning to continue adding agents in South Massachusetts and Rhode Island in the coming months.
