Kody Brown shaves beard to ‘go out like teenagers’ with Robyn
Kody Brown has no problem losing his facial hair – as long as it means more kisses from his wife Robin Brown.
Robyn, 47, revealed during the Sunday, November 16, episode Sister women that Kody’s mustache and beard made it “painful” to kiss him, and that was all Kody, 56, needed to hear to make a change.
“Would I be kissed more if it was gone?” Kody asked his wife, who replied, “Yes.”
Robyn confessed that Kody’s beard made her feel like she was kissing “one of those vegetable scrubbers from your kitchen sink.” She told the cameras: “I get poked all the time. It’s so uncomfortable.”
Kody, meanwhile, was quick to accommodate Robyn’s needs, telling the cameras, “I need to get rid of this beard so I’ll get kissed more often.”
After declaring, “We’re shaving it right now,” Kody double-checked that he would be rewarded for getting a close shave.
“Promise me we’ll kiss like teenagers, and I promise you that.” [it] It doesn’t bother me,” Kody told Robyn as he pulled out the razor and started trimming his beard.
Once Kody trimmed off his mustache and was left with just a goatee on his chin, Robyn couldn’t help but swoon.
“Oh, look at that jawline. I haven’t seen that in a while,” Robyn said, flirting with her husband. “I think he looks younger. He looks good.”
Both Robyn and Kody were giddy when they started kissing in the bathroom. “I’m gonna get kissed now, man. Kisses for Kody,” he said in a confessional.
“Hello,” Robyn said cheekily to Kody between kisses. “I like it!”
She told viewers that Kody looked “so much better,” and talked about how happy her new look made her. “Oh, my god. That’s like, ‘Yeah, let’s just see. That’ll be amazing,'” Robyn added.
While Robyn revealed that she preferred a clean-shaven Kody, her former Sister Wives had mixed feelings about facial hair.
“Someone said that kissing a man without a mustache is like eating an egg without salt.” Christine Brown said in a confessional, hinting that she is a fan of men with beards. (Christine’s husband, David Woolleywhom she married in October 2023, has a mustache and a goatee.)
Meri Brown added, “I think facial hair on men is attractive.”
Janelle Brownfor her part, said she doesn’t have a “strong opinion” on the subject. “I know I don’t want too much, I don’t really like a full beard or whatever, but I guess it just depends on the individual,” she shared.
If Sister women fans know that Kody previously had four wives. He married Meri, 54, in 1990, before entering into spiritual unions with Janelle, 56, and Christine, 53, in 1993 and 1994 respectively. Robyn joined the polygamous family in 2010.
Kody later divorced Meri in 2014 to legally marry Robyn and adopt her three children from a previous marriage. He remained in a spiritual marriage with Meri until she confirmed their separation in January 2023.
Kody and Meri’s split came after Christine left him in November 2021 and Janelle announced their divorce in December 2022.
While Robyn and Kody were going through a rough patch amid their family turmoil, she revealed during Sunday’s episode that their romantic connection was back.
“Because of [the] You know, I’ve always been very careful around other women,” Robyn told the cameras about her approach to PDA. “Kody and I wouldn’t be affectionate in public, but now that it’s just the two of us, we flirt a lot.”
