Kody Brown reflects on the loss and inheritance of Garrison in Zustervrouwen

Kody Brown Detailed his own emotional roller coaster Sister Women After the death of his son Garrison Brown.
“Complaint touches you in waves. When it touches me, I can’t run for it,” Kody, 56, explained during the Sunday 11 May, episode of the TLC series, which was filmed for about four months after Garrison died by suicide in March 2024 at the age of 25.
Kody revealed: “If I scream, or when I sob it, I can cut it briefly, but when that wave comes, I can’t prevent it from affecting me.”
Kody and ex-wife Janelle Brown announced the death of their son in March 2024 and later celebrated his life with a family breakthrough. The former couple, who split in December 2022, shares five extra children.
In addition to a military funeral for garrison, Kody left for his own “pilgrimage” for his birthplace of Wyoming to let his son rest near family. Janelle’s ancestors are also buried in the area, and she said on Sunday’s episode: “I want to be buried right next to Garrison” when her time comes.
In the meantime, Kody made it clear that he wanted to “take Garrison” at home “and buried his ashes” next to his grandmother and his grandfather and, you just know, just a little … finish the circle. ” He noticed: “I was the first to hold him. This is my son. I rocked him asleep. This is part of my grieving process.”
Kody started to think about the last resting place of Garrison and their unfinished things. “Sometimes out of nowhere, out of nowhere, it will overcome me. Almost, like, a kind of anxiety attack,” he revealed. “Just a deep, overwhelming feeling that I will never see him again. So much unspoken, so much has been undone.”
Kody and Garrison were on the outs prior to his death after Kody had enforced strict guidelines for the family during the Coronavirus Pandemia. Kody also bumped heads with son Gabriel Brown About the same problem.
“The Garrison poster will always be in my garage, and I will always see it and wonder what was missed in the future,” Kody continued. “And it is a game of consciousness to move with sorrow, to make your blood sweet instead of bitter of pain.”
Janelle, for her part, went to the Flagstaff, Arizona, High Country Humane Society during Sunday’s episode to see how they put Garrison and his love for cats. She noted that Garrison’s nursing school friends wanted to pay tribute to him, so she suggested donating to the Animal Society in his name and “snowed” from there.
The local organization, where Garrison took over his animals, called their adoption room after him with a memorial plate.
“Since his death, $ 25,000 [has] Grown up for High Country Humane for the cats, “revealed a high country human worker.” In addition to the Chamber of Chamber, we also sponsored all Katten adoption costs in the name of Garrison in March. And we did 36 cat ads in honor of garrison. “
Janelle was speechless after he had already seen the “good that came” from Garrison’s early death. “I had to come and see,” she said. “It’s almost like an inheritance. So I had to see it.”
