Kirsten Storms Stormen by being temporarily replaced on ‘General Hospital’

Kirsten Storms is open about what it was like to be temporarily replaced in her long -term “General Hospital” role.
Storms, who has been playing Maxie on the historic Soapoperera since May 2005, was recently temporarily replaced by Nicole Paggi due to planning conflicts. In a recent sit-down with Soap Opera DigestStorms said that she was initially surprised to hear that she would be tagged out of the role during her absence, but was happy that there would be someone to maintain her storyline.
“I would lie if I didn’t say I was brought through it a bit,” she said. “I would rather someone play Maxie and play Maxie well to keep the character relevant and still in the soap world, because it doesn’t need much to deposit a character and to come in for someone else and to be in a Front-Buwer storyline. I was very excited to know that she was still going to be in Port Charles and did things.”
This is not the first time that another actress has immersed to play Maxie. Jen Lilley stepped in to play the role in September 2011 when Storms was forced to take medical leave after the diagnosis of endometriosis. Storms returned to the show a year later.
This is also not the first time that Paggi came in to play Maxie. She played the role in December 2023. Her other credits included “cut”, “The Rookie: Feds”, “9-1-9”, “Rizzoli & Isles” and “Mad Love.”
