Kate started the holidays with the Christmas carol concert ‘Together at Christmas’, which she organized again on Friday, December 5. Kate was joined by husband William, 43, and their three children at Westminster Abbey.

“At its core, Christmas speaks of love that takes shape in the simplest, most human of ways. Not in sentimental or grand gestures, but in gentle gestures. A moment of listening, a word of comfort, a friendly conversation, a helping hand, presence,” the Princess of Wales wrote in a letter to those in attendance. “These simple acts of care may seem small, but they add to the beautiful life to which we all belong. Christmas is a time that reminds us how deeply intertwined our lives are. Just as the roots of trees share their strength beneath the ground, unseen but vital, so do we. We are drawn by an instinctive urge for connection and connection.”

Charles, meanwhile, was absent from the Christmas carol service because he had official appointments in Germany that same week.
