King Charles and Prince William make ‘millions’ from public services
According to the investigation, the Duchy of Cornwall has received more than $28.5 million from the future king rental payments on a site in central London called Camelford House since 2005. In addition, the estate has reportedly raised $78,000 dollars from St John’s Ambulance, a charity that lists King Charles as its patron.
The report also emphasizes this William visited MI6 headquarters near Camelford House, although the purpose of his visit remains unknown. In another agreement, the Duchy of Lancaster signed a deal to store electric ambulances, charging $14.7 million dollars over 15 years for storage services.
Additional revelations reveal that the Duchy of Cornwall has charged the British Navy $1.3 million since 2004 for facilities to dock and moor warships in Cornwall.
The rapid-fire report also claims that both estates levy fees on public rights of way over rivers, as well as on the laying of cables under certain beaches they control. Income from these assets also includes tolls, parking fees and wind turbine income, adding a low level of passive income.
