Kevin Spacey is facing more sexual assault claims in London’s civil court

Kevin Spacey will face three more sexual assault claims in London’s civil court next year.

According to BBC newsThree men have sued the actor over allegations he assaulted them between 2000 and 2013. A provisional trial date of October 12, 2026 was proposed at a hearing in London’s High Court on Wednesday, although it has yet to be decided whether the claims will be heard in one civil trial or in three successive trials.

Spacey, who was acquitted in a British criminal trial in 2023 of charges of sexual assault by four men, has denied all allegations. BBC News reported that Spacey has formally dismissed two of the three civil claims in court, but has not yet filed a defense for the third. A representative for Spacey did not immediately respond Variety‘s request for comment on the new civil lawsuit.

One of the men who sued Spacey in civil court did so earlier in 2022, but the case was stayed during his criminal trial. The man, who has been granted anonymity by the court, claims he has “suffered psychological harm and other financial losses” as a result of the alleged assault, which he claims took place in August 2008.

Another man, Ruari Cannon, has waived his right to anonymity, claiming Spacey groped him at a party in 2013 while he was starring in a play at the Old Vic, where Spacey was artistic director. Cannon took part in the Channel 4 docuseries ‘Spacey Unmasked’ last year, to which the actor responded: ‘Every time I have been given the time and a proper forum to defend myself, the allegations have not been investigated and I have been acquitted.’
