Kevin Spacey‘s sets the record straight… tells fans he’s not homeless… and blames a misleading headline for all the confusion.
The actor took to social media to clarify the issue… telling fans that he doesn’t like spending his time correcting the media, but he couldn’t let this rumor continue because so many of his loyal followers have reached out to him to offer help.
Spacey thanks everyone who reached out and offered him a couch to sleep on or just to see if he’s been doing well lately… but he says he’s not actually homeless.
Kevin says he had a great conversation with a journalist from The Telegraph… but he believes the outlet – in an effort to draw attention – took his comments completely out of context.
Spacey goes where the work is, he says – and he currently has no permanent residence – but he doesn’t live on the streets as people might think when they hear the world’s homeless in the “casual” sense.
To be clear, Kevin is quoted in The Telegraph as saying: “You’ll get through it. In strange ways I feel like I’m back where I started, which is to say I just went where the work was. Everything is in storage and I hope at some point, if things keep improving, I’ll be able to decide where I want to settle down again. I live in hotels, I live in Airbnbs, I go where the work is. I literally don’t have a home, that’s what I’m trying to explain.”
It might be a case of semantics here… Spacey himself never uses the word “homeless,” but saying he doesn’t have a house isn’t far off from that.

As you know… Spacey sent a lot of money to defend himself against allegations of sexual assault by a fellow actor Antonius Rapp. When he told it, he burst into tears Piers Morgan he had to sell his house in Baltimore last year.
It seems like a ‘lost in translation’ situation here… and Spacey doesn’t want the rumor mill to keep churning.
