Katy Perry jokes about selling MSG after return
Katy Perry Is on joke.
The pop star poked pleasure in the return she received in recent months when she celebrated a sold -out show in Madison Square Garden in New York City on Monday 11 August.
“They said,” really not! MSG, it couldn’t be done. ” And I was scared too, “she started a long speech for the crowd during the last stop of her Lifetimes Tour.
Perry, 40, then joked that she “didn’t talk about a sold -out show” before she explained: “I am talking about the fact that I ate a hot dog from the corner!”
“I rolled the dice yesterday and I thought it was great. Give me a Jumbo with the onions,” she went on.
Perry then started calling Manhattan ‘special’ – but also a ‘beautiful hot mess’.
“I rolled in New York and it smelled of New York City. And you know what I’m talking about,” she said while the audience laughed. “It was late in the evening. We came from Philly, and there were drunk people on the same corner as people who make love. That was New York City! And I thought it was great.”
Perry explained that she has been to the Big Apple all her life, but ‘finally’ finally ‘understood’ the allure this time.
“You know why? Because New York City represents life-the highlights, the lows, the Inten, everything that is messy, everything that is beautiful, and it is certainly if hell is not perfect because perfection is an illusion,” she added. “And I understood it because I resonate so much with it, because one of my favorite words is authenticity. And you know what New York is? Authentic!”
Perry came under fire last year when she released “Woman’s World” as the principal single from her seventh studio album, 143. Users of Social Media criticized the first American idol Judging for cooperation with Dr. Luke after Kesha accused the songwriter and producer of rape, whom he denied.
Perry was confronted with more criticism in April when she flew to space on a completely female blue origin flight, which many critics shot and both precious and a abrasive PR stunt.
Later that month, Perry admitted that he felt a “human piñata” while he called social media a “landfill” for hateful comments.
“Please know that I am okay,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. ‘I did a lot [of] Work on knowing who I am, what is real and what is important to me. ‘
Perry continued to her global Lifetimes Tourwho started in April and is currently closed in December, and writes that she likes to see fans’ faces every night, sings at the same time, reading your notes [and] Feel your warmth. “
“I am not perfect, and I actually omitted that word from my vocabulary,” she concluded. “I am on a human journey and play the game of life with an audience of many and sometimes I fall … I stand back and keep playing the game and somehow through my battered and bruised adventure I keep looking at the light and unlocking a new level in that light.”
