Katelynn Ordone honors husband on Father’s Day after the son’s death

Katelynn Ordon celebrates her husband, Jaelan OrdoneOn Father’s Day after the death of their 2-year-old son, Preston, known online as “Oké Baby”.

“Happy Father’s Day for the best dad there is,” Katelynn wrote via Instagram On Sunday 15 June, in addition to a mounting of videos that her husband shows with their deceased toddler and their surviving daughter, Paisley. “No vacation will ever feel the same without our preston, but everything he ever knew was love of his father. We may not understand it, but we will see him again one day.”

In one video, the late toddler of the couple wishes his father a happy Father’s Day in bed. In another, the father and son -duo are seen who brush their teeth. In another, Jaelan sees his son holding when he was a baby.

“I will never understand why Preston could not be with us here today,” Katelynn wrote on the video upload itself. “But one thing I know for sure … you are the best father in the world. Preston and Paisley have and will always be proud of their father. Happy Father’s Day.”

The Ordone family rose to the fame of Tiktok in August 2024, after Preston became known as the “Oké Baby” because he answered his parents cheerfully before he hilariously defending their rules. On April 27, the Friends of Katelynn and Jaelan family broke the news of the death of Preston after a car accident. The parents were also in the vehicle at the time of the crash, which took place while their 7-year-old daughter was in school.

In May, US Weekly confirmed the cause of death of the toddler to “be a blunt force injury due to a motor vehicle accident.” The St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office categorized the child’s death as a coincidence.

“Hey guys, this is Katelynn. I am the mother of Preston, and I wanted to try to come here and give you an update, because I have heard about all the love and support that you have all given, and it means so much for us in a time as this,” shared via Instagram two days later, on April 29. “

Katelynn further explained that she was fired from the hospital on April 28, on April 28, while her husband remained in the hospital for an extensive treatment. To stay close to her husband while he healed, the family bought an airbnb.

“I think we are all trying … None of us really understand why or how this could happen, but the support of you made a big difference here in many of these,” she continued. “And I may not be able to view everything, I may not be able to answer every comment, because it is really difficult for me to look at it. But I still see some things here, how much you will love them, and it means a lot.”

The mother endorsed the post: “It is very difficult for me to collect my thoughts now, but I really wanted everyone to know that I really appreciate the support during this incredibly difficult time.”

Katelynn also shared a moving video of Preston before his death via her Instagram story on April 30.

“I will never understand why God took you from me,” she lifted the post. “I will miss you and love you for the rest of my life.”
