Karoline Leavitt criticized for saying leaders were ‘killed’ for ‘lying’ to the US

Users on X were quick to condemn the comments, with many calling them “insane” and “dangerous.”

“Absolute madness. Karoline Leavitt says Trump had Iranian leaders killed during negotiations because he didn’t like the way they negotiated. Even the craziest dictators don’t say that out loud,” one user wrote, and another added: “INSANIC to say out loud and on the record. Jesus Christ.”

Others expressed concern about how the comments reflect on the US globally.

“America’s reputation is sinking deeper and deeper into the gutter,” said one critic, while another wondered, “Wait, wait what?!?!? They were killed in the middle of the negotiations for ‘keeping us in line’?!? What the hell kind of country is this? And what century?!?!?”

Several users also took issue with Leavitt’s speech, pointing out what they described as a nonchalant or disturbing tone.

“And she says it with a smile,” one person wrote.

“This is sick and twisted, she’s laughing and smiling while saying this…” added another.

A third person said: “‘No longer on planet Earth’ is such a bizarre euphemism for murder that it sounds like it’s describing an alien abduction program.”
