Karan Johar’s ‘Do You Wanna Partner’ Sets September Prime Video Debut

Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment has set a September bog for “Do You Wanna Partner”, a comedy drama series with Tamannaah Bhatia and Diana Penty as the best friends of entrepreneurs breaking into the alcohol starter.

The Prime video series follows the duo while trying to set up their traditional beer company in an industry dominated by men. The series revolves around Shikha and Anahita (Bhatia and Penty) while navigating through the lively chaos of city life while they completely rebuild their business.

In addition to Adar Poonawalla and Apoorva Mehta, Johar produces with Somen Mishra and Archit Kumar who serve as executive producers. Kumar co-directs with Collin d’Cunha. The series was written by Nandini Gupta, Aarsh Vora and Mithun Gongopadhyay, and made by Gongopadhyay and Nishant Nayak.

The cast of the ensemble includes Jaaved Jaafery, Nakuul Mehta, Neeraj Kabi, Shweta Tiwari, Sufi Motiwala and Rannvijay Singha.

Producer Apoorva Mehta said: “The incredible ensemble under the leadership of Tamannaah Bhatia and Diana Penty, next to Jaaved Jaaferi, Nakuul Mehta, Shweta Tiwari, Neeraj Kabi, has added authenticity, warmth and spark to every scene.

Executive producer Somen Mishra added: “What distinguishes it is not only the humor and liveliness, but the way in which ambition and female friendship celebrates with honesty and heart. Tamannaah and Diana illuminate the screen with their electric chemistry.”

“Do You Wanna Partner” Streams from 12 September. It agrees with the growing slate of Hindi language servions of Prime Video, including series such as “Paatal Lok”, “Panchayat”, “Mirzapur”, “The Family Man” and recent releases such as “Citadel: Honey Bunny.”
