Karan Johar-Host ‘The Traitors’ India sets Prime Video Premiere
Prime Video India has established a premiere date for ‘The Traitors’, the Karan Johar-Host Reality series that so far marks the largest unwritten original of the streamer.
The Indian adjustment of the internationally praised format of IDTV will contain 20 celebrities that compete in what the platform describes as ‘the ultimate test of trust and betrayal’.
The series, produced by BBC Studios India Productions in collaboration with All3Media International, represents the expansion of Prime Video India to high -profile reality programming. New episodes will fall on the platform every Thursday.

“The Traitors” has become one of the fastest-growing reality formats worldwide, with more than 35 adjustments in more than 30 countries. The Bafta and Emmy Award-winning format challenges participants to identify traitors between their group while they compete for a considerable cash prize.
Sabrina Duguet, Executive VP APAC at All3Media International, emphasized the admissibility of India for reality programming. “India is one of the most dynamic and exciting markets in the world, with a public base that is very receptive to reality shows,” said Duguet. “The Indian adjustment of ‘The Traitors’ offers this audience high caliber celebrities and intense drama, all packed in a thriller-like gameplay.”
