Yes, formerly known as Kanye Westhas taken out an ad in The Wall Street Journal apologizing to ‘Those I Hurt’, for his alarming behavior in recent years… citing his preference for Nazi symbolism as something he especially regrets.
In the ad, Ye blames the car accident that nearly killed him 25 years ago for causing undiagnosed damage to his frontal lobe, which he says affected his mental health and led to his bipolar type 1 diagnosis.
He writes: “I lost touch with reality. It got worse the longer I ignored the problem. I said and did things that I deeply regret.”
He continued… “However, it is not an excuse for what I did. I am not a Nazi or anti-Semite. I love Jewish people.”
The artist later addresses ‘the black community’ and calls it ‘undoubtedly the basis of who I am’.
“I’m sorry I let you down,” he wrote. “I love us.”
