Justin Dini to leave Paramount

Justin Dini, who brought to the attention of business communication for Paramount Skydance, while it has navigated a change in control of the Redstone family to his current management, leaves the company.
Dini joined the company, then known as Viaacom, in 2017, and used communication -outstream while again merging with brother or sister CBS Corp., and while it jumped in the streaming wars with the acquisition of Pluto.
“I feel a lot of luck that I was part of this team. I had the opportunity to work on stories that mattered, to navigate in a rapidly changing landscape next to colleagues that I deeply respect, and to be part of a team that not only gives the work, but for each other. That is rare. And it is something I will always wear on Tuesday.
Melissa Zukerman, former co-head of PR-company Principal Communications and an adviser to Skydance CEO David Ellison, was recently appointed Chief Communications Officer of the company.
Before Dini came to Paramount, Dini was a partner and co-head of the media and technology practice at Brunswick Group, a consultancy for business communication. Before that, Dini was a special assistant for communication for William C. Thompson, Jr., the New York City Comptroller. He graduated in 1995 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in journalism and political sciences.
In recent years, Paramount has had to deal with a great tumult and the Dini memorandum reflected that. “On my very first day on what was then Viacom in 2017, I walked into a war room – and in many ways I never left.”
