Joseph Gormley nominated to lead Ginnie Mae

Gormley has been the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the company since April. If he is confirmed, Ginnie Mae would have his first permanent president since Alanna McCargo, who left in May 2024.
His earlier roles include serving as staff chef and deputy secretary at HUD. He also previously worked as a deputy assistant -Secretary at the Federal Housing Administration (Fha).
Bob Broeksmit, President and CEO of the Mortgage banking association (MBA), released a statement in which the nomination of Gormley is praised.
