Joseph Duggar faces life in prison for child molestation

That’s what the authorities said Radar the allegations date back to a family vacation in 2020.

“The victim reported that Duggar repeatedly asked her to sit on his lap,” records show. “As the vacation continued, he also asked her to sit next to him on a couch and cover them with a blanket. During this time, Duggar manipulated the victim’s underwear and grazed her genitals. Duggar also continued to rub his hands on her thighs.”

According to the Muscaw firm, “Florida’s criminal statutes state that a person who intentionally touches the genital area, breasts, or buttocks, or the clothing covering those areas, of a child under 16 years of age…commits an act of lewd or lascivious sexual assault.”

And the consequences can be serious.

“If someone is convicted of child molestation in the state of Florida, they can expect a lengthy prison sentence, ranging from a minimum of 25 years to a maximum of life in prison,” the company continued. “Florida’s child abuse laws are in place to protect children sixteen years of age and younger from exploitation by adults who prey on children for their own deviant sexual needs and desires.”
