José Díaz-Balart strengthens Telemundo’s news tasks

José Díaz-Balart will take on new duties at Spanish-language network Telemundo, where he will co-host a new streaming program called “Ahora 360” for FAST channel “Noticias Telemundo AHORA” in early 2026 and host NBC News’ “Dateline” in Spanish on Telemundo.
Díaz-Balart, the only anchor to host national news programs in Spanish and English, will continue to host Saturday broadcasts of “NBC Nightly News.”
Co-hosted by Arantxa Loizaga, “Ahora 360” will feature social, political and cultural stories, along with interviews with newsmakers, opinion leaders and personalities. It streams Monday through Thursday. Additional “Noticias Telemundo AHORA” programming will be announced in the coming months. The Spanish-language “Dateline” will launch in January.
Díaz-Balart began his journalism career in 1983 and has interviewed every American president since Ronald Reagan. In addition to his Telemundo duties, he has anchored programs for MSNBC.
Loizaga, who anchors Noticias Telemundo’s late-night news, will expand her role with “Ahora 360.” She regularly co-hosts special primetime news coverage and has conducted interviews with world leaders, including former U.S. Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush. She joined Telemundo in 2021.
The FAST channel is distributed via Roku, YouTube, Samsung TV Plus, Fire TV, Peacock, NoticiasTelemundo.com and the Noticias Telemundo app. It features original reporting with hosts Julio Vaqueiro, Nicole Suárez, Johanna Suárez, Vanessa Hauc, Damià Bonmatí, Claudia de la Fuente and Loizaga.
