Jon Stewart tackles Trump’s first 100 days at the office: ‘I’m so tired’

In this week’s episode of ‘The Daily Show’, Jon Stewart repeated the first 100 days in function of President Donald Trump.
During the opening of the show, Stewart seemed to be a no-show until he emerged from his desk in a long white beard.
“It was officially 100 days of Donald Trump,” said Stewart with a cracking voice. “I’m so tired. It ages this nation in ‘Castaway’ years from Tom Hanks. But this is ‘The Daily Show’. I’m Jon Stewart tonight.
A video assembly then played and introduced the segment, with ironically triumphant music and photos and videos of Trump’s first 100 days. After it ended, Stewart appeared lively and without the beard.
“I joked,” he joked. “Energy! Imagine with a white beard! But yes, tomorrow is officially the 100th day of Donald Trump’s first term. And you will be very happy to hear, things are going incredibly well.”
A clip then played Van Trump and claimed that the first 100 days of his second term is ‘the most successful 100 days in the history of our country’.
“Suck it, Jefferson! Suck it, Lincoln! Suck it, Roosevelts squared,” Stewart proclaimed. “Trump’s first 100 days is as if America landed on the moon and killed Bin Laden in the same mission!” Thought you could hide on the moon, bin waden? Get him, guys! ” According to Trump, can someone offer the most successful 100 days in the history of our country?
A compilation of news clips then played all the blunders of Trump’s first 100 days, including “chaos and confusion” in the economy, “indignation” about the Ministry of Government Efficiency by Elon Musk and a “fire storm” about national security. The clips also claimed that Trump has the “lowest approval of each president in the last 80 years.”
“Suck it, Herbert Hoover!” Stewart joked. He then dived into the litany of promises that Trump did during his campaign, which he did not have in office, starting with economic success.
Stewart then played a compilation of Trump and said that the economy will “roar” when he took office and that he will “herald a brand new Trump Economic Boom”.
“Unfortunately it is quite clear that Donald Trump made a tree boom on the economy,” said Stewart. “Maybe Trump feels so positive, because although the economy goes south for most people, there have been some winners!”
A news compilation then played and sketched several of the personal economic victories of Trump, despite the decline of the global economy. Outlets claimed that Trump’s assets had “more than” doubled in the first 100 days and that he had signed a “$ 40 million” license agreement with Jeff Bezos for a documentary about Melania Trump.
“The man earns billions and billions of dollars, but seriously, $ 40 million for a documentary? No offense, I am sure she is a very interesting person, but PBS made the entire Ken Burns Civil War series for $ 3.5 million,” said Stewart. “” Shoah “was $ 3 million! Of course they wanted four, but they got a good price!”
Stewart then delved into the promises of Trump about immigration, including ‘the greatest deportation in history’, starting with ‘violent criminals’. Stewart then played a news clip with the latest series of deportees from Trump, who were “three American children, all American citizens. One of them fights cancer.”
“Oh my damn God,” said Stewart in disbelief. “What? That is who we deport? A child with cancer? Trump really doesn’t understand how the make-a-wish foundation works, anyway? The cancer kid gets the wish.”
