Jon Stewart about the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia

In this week’s episode of ‘The Daily Show’, Jon Stewart took a more serious tone than normal when he hit President Donald Trump for the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

Stewart opened the segment by explaining the situation around Garcia. According to the expert in the late night, Garcia was a “migrant without papers from El Salvador”, as well as a father and a husband for an American woman. But last month he was suddenly deported to El Salvador and locked up in a “mega prison” about an “administrative error,” said the Ministry of Justice. Stewart then informed the public that the Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele visited the White House on Monday and joked that Garcia could take a ride with him to the United States.

“You don’t even have to give Garcia the middle chair,” said Stewart. “I am sure Garcia would just take the wing and Tom Cruise here if he had to. But unfortunately Bukele arrived at the White House with only the Miami Club -Promotor clothing on his back and a bag full of apologies.”

Stewart then played a clip of the meeting between Bukele and Trump. When asked if he had plans to bring Garcia back to America, Bukele replied: “How can I smuggle a terrorist to the United States?”

“Can I tell you honestly? Like, they enjoy this damn, like the two of them,” said Stewart, to a gloomy tone. Our president, their president, [they’re like]”I can’t do it. I think we just have to let him rot in prison, even though he didn’t earn to be there. ” ‘

He continued: ‘I know you don’t care about this guy. I am talking about it [Trump and Bukele]But someone else cares about this person, and just randomly, without proof that you will show someone, calls him a terrorist. “

Stewart then pointed out that Trump did not seem completely because of the Garcia situation and was more concerned by the questions of CNN journalist Catlin Colins.

A news clip then played Van Colins and said to Trump: “You said that if the Supreme Court said someone should be sent back, you would stay there.” Trump replied: “Why don’t you just say:” It’s not great that we keep criminals from our country. “Why can’t you just say that? Why are you going again and again?

Stewart then shared a news clip, in which a journalist Trump asked if he would be “open” to deport American citizens. Trump’s answer: “If it is a home -grown criminal, I am not a problem … I am talking about really bad people. Really bad people.”

“He’s going to do that to us,” said Stewart. “I think the hosts of ‘The View’ are about to make an administrative wrong mistake. I have to tell you, I didn’t think he would get this authoritarian so quickly. I really didn’t do that. I’m sorry.”
