John Stamos calls out Lori Loughlin’s ‘narcissistic’ ex Mossimo Giannulli and blames him for college scandal as their $16.5 million marital home sits unsold

‘Full House’ star Johannes Stamos gives his opinion about pal Lori Loughlin‘s ex, Mossimo Giannulliobviously because he has publicly labeled him a “narcissist” and even blamed him for the infamous college admissions scandal.
The 62-year-old actor didn’t hold back when asked about Loughlin’s former husband, from whom she announced her divorce on Oct. 6 during an appearance on the “Good Guys” podcast.
He recalled all his fond memories of working with Loughlin, 61, on “Full House” before praising her as a “saint” and attacking Giannulli, 62.
Discussing her divorce, he said, “I’m just heartbroken for her right now. She’s just devastated. For a girl who has lived her life very well, a good person, a good mother, a good wife – I know all this for sure – to now be thrown into this divorce and, you know, explode and blow up her family like this. I just hate seeing her go through this. Really and truly.’
He noted that he has “really tried to be there for her during this time, and also with the college scandal,” in which Loughlin admitted that she paid the scheme’s “mastermind” $500,000 through what was described as a “side door” to gain admission to the University of Southern California for her two daughters. Isabella Rosse, 27, and fashion influencer Olivia Jade26, who recently announced that she has left the US and moved to Paris, France, noting in July that she would be living in the European city for “a while.”

When news of the student scandal broke, Stamos said he hadn’t heard from his friend for “a while.”
“I said, ‘Look, all the negativity and hardship you’ve experienced in your life is related to this man.’ Whatever he did to her, it broke her to her core. She has put up with a lot from this man over the years. And again, I’m not going to get into the relationship.
“It’s none of my business. I mean, I know a lot, and I’ve been by her side a lot. She’s an angel and she’s always made things better. She cleaned everything up. He’s a very successful guy,” the Hollywood heavyweight said.
And Stamos noted that now that Loughlin has cut ties with the clothing designer, he will “never” speak to him again.
“I will never talk to him again. He’s a terrible narcissist, and I don’t think you’ll ever get out of that unless you’re able to. How can you break that?”
“I pray for this man. I pray that he comes to grips with the hole he’s trying to fill, however he tries to fill it. I pray that he realizes that what he had was all anyone could ever hope for and that he gets some help. I think this man needs help,” he said.
Stamos’ scathing assessment of Giannulli comes just weeks after it was announced that he and Loughlin had split after 28 years of marriage — just months after putting their Los Angeles home back on the market and six years after the infamous college admissions scandal that saw them both sentenced to prison.
News of the couple’s divorce broke on October 3 when Louglin’s representative, Elizabeth Muchtold People that the couple took a “break” in their marriage and had been living separately for quite some time.

Much added that Loughlin and Giannulli have not yet filed for divorce, noting, “They are living separately and taking a break from their marriage. There are no legal proceedings at this time.”
In July, they lowered the price of their Los Angeles mansion, which was originally listed in April 2024 for $17.5 million before being put back on the market in February this year for $16.5 million.
Five months after that second listing went live, the duo lowered the ask to $14.95 million, just three months before announcing the news of their split.
The former spouses purchased the property for $9.5 million in August 2020 — the same month they were sentenced to several months in prison for their involvement in the Varsity Blues college admissions scandal.

In July, the former couple lowered the home’s asking price again to $14.95 million, which is where it still stands.
The same year they purchased the Hidden Hills home, Loughlin and Giannulli parted ways with a palatial Mediterranean-style property near Bel-Air Country Club, having purchased the home for $13.99 million in June 2015.
The duo initially listed the six-bedroom, nine-bathroom home for a whopping $35 million in 2017, before selling it at a deep discount – with records showing they accepted an offer of $18.75 million in July 2020.
Weeks later, they closed on their Hidden Hills home.
It is currently unclear whether Loughlin or Giannulli live in the building, or if they have both moved to a new building of their own.
Both of their children have moved out of the family home, with Olivia revealing in a July YouTube video that she had moved from the US to France – at least temporarily.
“Good morning from Paris,” the social media star said in her video, which showed several clips of her trip from Italy to France, where she lives in an apartment.
“This is going to be such a fun adventure to film. I’m going to be here for a while… and it’s going to be such an exciting, formative time,” she continued as she sat in her new bedroom.
Loughlin is best known for his role as Aunt Becky in the TV sitcom “Full House” and its Netflix sequel “Fuller House.” However, her Hollywood career became mired in controversy in 2019, when she and her husband were among the first 50 people charged in the infamous Varsity Blues case.

During her trial, Loughlin admitted that she paid the scheme’s “mastermind” $500,000 through what was described as a “side door” to gain admission to the University of Southern California for her two daughters.

Loughlin found humor in her situation and even poked fun at herself in a guest role on the final season of the HBO show “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” in which she appeared as a fictional version of herself and made thinly veiled references to her role in the college admissions scandal.
In 2024, she opened up about “forgiveness,” noting in an interview with First for women that her family has always been able to let go of the mistakes of others.
“My family was not one to hold grudges,” she said. “I didn’t grow up in a household where if you made a mistake you weren’t forgiven. No one is perfect, we all make mistakes. So I was always told to let things go. And I think for your own health you have to let things go because you can’t hold on to negativity. Life is too short.”
The actress of ‘Desperate Housewives’ was also accused of this scam Felicity Huffmanwho served eleven days of a two-week prison sentence.
